Why does network segmentation matter more here than in a typical office?
A lot of floor equipment is older, can't run modern endpoint security software, and simply can't be patched the way a laptop can. Segmentation, not the equipment itself, ends up doing most of the security work - separating office, warehouse, and OT/production traffic so a compromised laptop can't reach systems that were never designed with security in mind.

Metal racking and shelving block signal, ceilings are high, floor areas are large, and forklift-mounted scanners need to roam between access points without dropping connection mid-pick. A proper site survey, not a guess based on the floor plan, is the only reliable way to get coverage right.
